Welcome to the YMCA National Capital Triathlon Club!
The YTri club is a volunteer-run triathlon club for members of the National Capital YMCA in Washington, DC. All levels of triathlete - from newbies to ironmen [and ironwomen] - are welcome to join. In addition to informal training throughout the year, the club organizes an annual 18-week training program for people new to triathlon and experienced triathletes looking to improve their skills.

About the Club
The YTri club is active year-round with members training for specific races and just keeping in shape. You can join at any time by visiting the YMCA's member services desk to complete a sign-up form and pay the (minimal) annual club fee. The club is a great way to find workout buddies to stay motivated throughout the year. Club members can join weekend training events, get full access to the club website and listserv, and enjoy discounts from our sponsors.

       
About the Training Program
The annual training program runs from February through the end of June, culminating in an Olympic or Sprint distance race. The training program takes you through 18 weeks of planned preparation building to a peak a few weeks before the race. Workouts take place weekday mornings at the National Capital YMCA with additional weekend training around the D.C. area.
